Laminate packaging materials

Laminate packaging materials are used more and more for packaging food. This type of material is an ideal way of protecting food against harmful external influences and to extend the shelf-life. Thanks to the high barrier properties of this material, your product is protected against external oxygen, has a higher shelf-life, can be sealed well, and can be packaged leak tight.

Leak-tight sealing

First and foremost, laminate packaging materials have been developed to protect your products against external influences. It is a material that, in a sense, 'embraces' your product. Gases that prolong shelf-life will remain inside the packaging. The material can be sealed perfectly, which is why it is often used for, among other things, packaging meat, fish, cheese, sauces, soup and ready meals.

Types of laminate packaging materials

SAREBO provides different types of laminate packaging materials from stock, each with their own unique product properties. Some examples:

• Peelable: this material can be removed from dishes and trays easily for your end user thanks to a perfect peel quality.
• Non-peelable laminate material without peel property in order to, for example, fully seal meat products and achieve optimum shelf-life.
• Resealable laminate material for optimum consumer use. Available in thicknesses between 50-70µ. This patented packaging material is available in various compositions.
• All our laminate packaging materials are mostly fitted with anti-condensation as standard.
